Vancouver Island U. reaches tentative agreement

VIUFA and VIU have reached a tentative Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), which will be the subject of a ratification vote by the membership. The terms are the those of the Template Table, plus some local gains. The Template Table gives four salary increases of 1% totalling 4% over two years. The first salary increase is retroactive to January 1, 2013, with the 2nd 1% on April 1st.

LFA ratifies new deal

The vote on the ratification of our new collective agreement was concluded Tuesday night, and faculty voted overwhelmingly to ratify it.

Hi Colleagues,

The LFA Board met with faculty yesterday at a general membership meeting

to answer questions about the proposed new collective agreement.

By now all of you should have received in your campus mailboxes a copy of the Memorandum of Agreement along with a brief explanation of the MOA.

General Meeting September 14, 2012

A general membership meeting was held on Friday Sept. 14th. LFA President, Lynn Carter updated those present about discussions held recently with other FPSE locals at the Presidents' Council meeting.

This bargaining round, FPSE locals will be bargaining locally and each plans to open as they and their members become ready. The timing will vary across the province.
