There are two candidates running for LFA Vice-President. The term is one year, from the AGM in May to the next AGM.  Election ballots will be in mailboxes on Tuesday, April 2. They must be returned by Monday, April 8 at 3:30 p.m.

VIUFA and VIU have reached a tentative Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), which will be the subject of a ratification vote by the membership. The terms are the those of the Template Table, plus some local gains. The Template Table gives four salary increases of 1% totalling 4% over two years. The first salary increase is retroactive to January 1, 2013, with the 2nd 1% on April 1st.

The Langara Faculty Association (LFA) is writing in support of Dale Askey and McMaster University and strongly urges Edwin Mellen Press to immediately drop its libel lawsuits. The lawsuits present an outrageous attack on academic freedom and the exercise of free speech.
