Langara Faculty Association hosts the ANNUAL PRESIDENTS’ BAR & DINNER on FRIDAY, DEC 14, 2018.

BAR: Employee Lounge 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. (Free admission)
For those who cannot make it to dinner, you are welcome to join us at the Presidents’ Bar that will start at 4:30 p.m. in the Employee Lounge.  Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be served and cash bar is available.

BUFFET DINNER: Student Cafeteria ~ 6:00 p.m.
Dinner Tickets:
Staff: $5:00
Guest: $25.00

LIVE MUSIC & DANCE ~ 8:00 p.m.

Two Living Wage motions passed at May 10 LFA AGM

The LFA membership passed two living wage motions at the May 10 Annual General Meeting, one proposed by the LFA Board and one proposed by the LFA Human Rights and International Solidarity Committee (HRISC) in support of the Justice for Janitors campaign. The text of the approved motions is copied below. The Board will keep members posted on any updates.

Annual General Meeting

12:45 pm, room T001 (north end of T building, take stairs to lower level)

Agenda packages will be distributed to all faculty members prior to the meeting. The AGM agenda and materials include:

  • Auditor’s Report and Proposed Budget 2018/19
  • Summary of the LFA Member Survey
  • Motions
  • Reports

Retirees' Social

Following the AGM, a Retirees Social will take place at 2:30 p.m. in the Employee Lounge to celebrate the retirement of retired and retiring faculty members. Beverages and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Please join us to celebrate these amazing faculty:
